Testing and Inspection Centre of KONČAR – Power Transformers has just finished final routine, type and special tests and inspections of the largest and the most complex product of that company so far. The tested and inspected special three-phase network auto transformer, rated power of 505 MVA, rated voltage of 400 kV/132 kV (/10,47 kV) is the first out of eight products KONČAR will deliver to the company DEWA - Dubai Electricity and Water Authority from the United Arab Emirates.
The total length of the transformer, including the cooling system, is 20 meters. The transformer itself is 3.3 meters wide, 4.3 meters high and 12.3 meters long, while the height and the width of the cooling system amounts to six meters.
It should be emphasised that due to dimensions of the transformer (its transport weight without oil, equipment and cooling system is 215 tons), as well as specific requirements for its parameters, numerous new solutions that have not been considered as standard by the time being, have been applied to the design of the stated transformer.
