This solution has been foreseen for regional passenger transport, but it is also apt for urban and sub-urban passenger transport with application of smaller variations.

The Unit comprises the state-of-the-art equipment researched and developed, designed and manufactured by KONČAR such as control and communication subsystem, converters, bogies, body, as well as individual parts of various domestic sub-suppliers resulting in the domestic share in the product that exceeds 70%.

250 engineers, masters and doctors of science, about 200 high skilled workers and many suppliers and cooperates – in total some 1000 persons of various professions have participated in the research and development of EMU.

This product puts KONČAR onto the list of a few global low floor railcar manufacturers and represents another important product based on KONČAR in-house know-how and domestic industrial manufacture.
